Pickering Pacific has recently made two senior appointments in China.

Eddie Heng has joined Pickering Pacific as China Representative and will be in charge of the development of our Shanghai office, covering Northeast Asia.

Joyce Shen has become Senior Advisor to Pickering Pacific, further developing the strong relationship that we have had with Joyce over the past eight years.

Eddie Heng is a Malaysian national. He speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Bahasa as well as several Chinese dialects. Eddie has a strong background in business including marketing and brand management positions with KFC and J Walter Thompson. He also has a significant experience consulting for the world’s largest companies gained at McKinsey and then Synovate Business Consulting for which he was Head of Greater China. Since leaving Synovate, Eddie has been involved in real estate acquisitions in China, including with Shui On Land where he was Director of the Chairman’s Office. Over this recent period, Eddie generated and closed real estate transactions worth in excess of USD 3 billion in China. Eddie has worked in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China and has extensive experience of East Asia and its different countries. Eddie has a BBA from National University of Malaysia  and holds an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Joyce Shen is a Chinese national. She speaks fluent English and Mandarin as well as several Chinese dialects. Joyce worked for five years for JP Morgan in investment banking in Shanghai, Hong Kong and New York. She has an extensive experience of M&A transactions involving Chinese companies. After leaving JP Morgan, Joyce was the CFO of HiChina Webhosting Company Limited, a Newbridge invested high-tech company based in Beijing. Since 2002, Joyce has been a director of Occient International, a consulting firm based in China and a close partner of Pickering Pacific from 2004. At Occient and with Pickering Pacific, Joyce has successfully advised numerous clients on M&As in the China market. Joyce has a Bachelor degree in economics and holds an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
